Abstract:
【Objective】 Research on the Analysis and Countermeasures for the Current Development Status of Mechanization in Chinese Herbal Medicine in Xinjiang
【Methods】 Based on field research and industry data, this paper conducts an in-depth analysis of the current status, core challenges, advantageous potential, and proposes targeted strategies for the mechanization of Xinjiang's medicinal herb industry.
【Results】 The study reveals that Xinjiang, driven by policy support, has achieved technological breakthroughs and pilot applications in several key processes (e.g., precision seeding, root/rhizome harvesting, intelligent sorting), leveraging significant advantages such as vast land resources, abundant sunlight and heat, and policy backing. However, the overall mechanization rate for medicinal herbs across the region (below 40%) remains substantially lower than that for grain crops.Core bottlenecks include lagging and imbalanced mechanization levels across herb varieties, insufficient integration of agronomy and mechanization, high equipment promotion costs stemming from low-scale operation, and delays in technology R&D and standard system development.
【Conclusion】 To overcome these developmental bottlenecks, this paper proposes systematic strategies: strengthening industry-academia-research collaboration for key technology breakthroughs, refining policy support systems to reduce application costs, promoting large-scale operations and standardization, and enhancing industrial synergy efficiency through digitalization. This research aims to provide theoretical support and practical pathways for Xinjiang's transition from labor-intensive to mechanization-dominated TCM production.
