Abstract:
【Objective】 To gain an in-depth understanding of the current status of the vegetable industry in Kizilsu, analyze existing problems, and propose corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.
【Methods】 A combination of field investigation and literature review was adopted.
【Results】 This report summarizes the current development status of the facility vegetable industry in Kizilsu and its counties/cities, identifies existing problems in the local vegetable industry, and puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.
【Conclusion】 The main problems in facility vegetable production in Kizilsu are as follows: Unreasonable crop rotation scheduling fails to meet market demand effectively; aging greenhouses urgently require renovation; winter vegetable production suffers from limited varieties, low quantity, and poor quality; a disconnect between production and sales leads to concentrated harvests and significant post-harvest losses; underdeveloped circulation and supply systems lack effective distribution channels; highly imbalanced industrial chain development overemphasizes production while neglecting value-added activities like marketing, sales, and processing; slow development of new business entities limits their driving effect; and a local shortage of agricultural professionals in facility agriculture management restricts yield potential, compromises quality, and results in relatively low production efficiency. To address these issues, the following countermeasures are proposed: Strengthen top-level design to advance industrial development; establish independent brands and promote green production practices; implement regionalized planning and standardized production; enhance scientific and technological support to elevate industrial capabilities; and streamline circulation channels to comprehensively improve production, processing, and sales integration.
