Abstract:
【Objective】 To analyze the current development status and countermeasures of the wolfberry industry in Xinjiang, and provide references for the high-quality development of the wolfberry industry in Xinjiang.
【Methods】 Various forms such as on-site visits, base investigations, enterprise visits, and big data analysis were adopted to collect information and carry out research activities.
【Results】 The wolfberry industry in Xinjiang has made remarkable achievements in terms of planting scale, processing capacity, market sales, and brand building. At present, the planting area of wolfberry in Xinjiang has reached hundreds of thousands of mu, and a preliminary “planting-processing-sales” integrated development model has been formed. However, it also faces challenges such as fierce market competition, imperfect quality standards and supervision, insufficient scientific and technological innovation capabilities, and low degree of collaborative development of the industrial chain.
【Conclusion】 Xinjiang wolfberry is mainly concentrated in some areas at the northern foot of the Tianshan Mountains, such as Bortala Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Tacheng Prefecture, and Altay Prefecture.Among them, the planting area of Jinghe County in Bortala Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture accounts for more than 60% of the whole region, reaching 0.69×10
4hm
2(103,000 mu).Successively, 43 wolfberry deep-processing enterprises and wolfberry planting cooperatives have been cultivated. At the same time, more than 40 kinds of health-care and leisure products such as wolfberry original pulp, craft beer, wolfberry seed oil, and wolfberry peptide have been developed, which has increased the efficiency of intensive processing of wolfberry fruits to more than 30%.
