Abstract: 【Objective】 The chickpea industry, as the core engine of the agricultural economy in Mulei County, is an important measure to drive local economic development.This paper analyzes the current situation and existing problems of its industrial development. 【Methods】 Select representative typical processing plants and large-scale growers in Mulei County, conduct on-site tracking and research, and analyze the problems existing in industrialization based on the current situation to explore solutions. 【Results】 The development of the chickpea industry in Mulei County is facing huge challenges.The imbalance in raw material supply, the obstruction of online sales and the difficulty in market expansion are restricting the modernization of the chickpea industry in Mulei County. 【Conclusion】 It is necessary to strengthen policy support, stabilize raw material supply, effectively enhance farmers' enthusiasm for planting, attract outstanding e-commerce operation talents to join, encourage enterprises to expand the national popularity of local chickpea products through means such as producing high-quality short videos and conducting content marketing, and build a characteristic and advantageous industry of Xinjiang.
