Visual analysis of camel milk research in China from perspective of knowledge graphs

  • Objective To explore the research status and development trend of camel milk in China and to provide a visual basis for the subsequent high-quality development of camel milk.
Methods Collect and organize relevant literature on camel milk from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), plot the trend of the number of publications in terms of years, and construct a knowledge map of the research field of camel's milk in China based on CiteSpace and VOSviewer.
Results A total of 348 papers were included. The annual number of publications on camel milk showed a general trend of growth, and the annual publication volume was the highest in 2022, reaching 40 papers. The top three authors in terms of number of publications were Jirimutu (49 articles), LU Donglin (46 articles) and XU Min (37 articles). Inner Mongolia Agricultural University, Urumqi Dairy Association, Key Laboratory of Dairy Biotechnology and Bioengineering, Ministry of Education, Inner Mongolia Agricultural University, and College of Life Science and Technology, Xinjiang University are currently the main research institutions. Keyword analysis shows that the research hotspots of camel's milk are mostly concentrated in the fields of physicochemical properties, chemical composition, and nutrient composition.
Conclusion Camel milk research in China is currently in an exploratory early stage, the research hotspots are dynamic changes, and the cooperation of research institutions is not close, so the researchers should strengthen cooperation of research institutions in different regions to fully explore the nutritional and functional active ingredients in camel's milk, and to realize the refinement and maximization of the utilization and development of camel's milk.
