Empirical analysis of the influencing factors of diversified governance in non-poverty rural areas in southern Xinjiang based on SEM

  • Objective From the perspective of farmers, Exploring the impact path and degree of various factors on diversified governance non-poverty rural areas in Southern Xinjiang.
    Methods Using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), 616 households from 15 villages in Kashgar, Hotan, kizilsu kirghiz Autonomous Prefecture (kizilsu), and Aksu regions of Southern Xinjiang were surveyed as samples to analyze the impact of various factors on diversified governance in rural areas of Southern Xinjiang.
    Results (1) The overall reliability value of the survey sample is 0.919; (2) The rural governance standardized coefficients of factors affecting in Southern Xinjiang are as follows: rural development (0.283)>spatial geography (0.153)>rural construction (0.120)>grassroots governance (0.102); (3) The mediating effects of the livelihood transformation ability to the rural diversified governance are 0.034, 0.115, 0.077, and 0.036, in spatial geography, rural development, rural construction, and grassroots governance respectively.
    Conclusion Various measures such as spatial geography, rural development, rural construction, and grassroots governance in Southern Xinjiang have a significant positive impact on the effectiveness of rural governance, and also have a significant positive impact on the livelihood transformation ability of farmers; The transformation of farmers' livelihood ability has a significant mediating effect on the rural diversified governance, and there is a significant correlation between rural spatial geography, rural development, rural construction, and grassroots governance.
